Nicola Barrett

Nicola is a New York City based actress that was born and raised on the Gold Coast in Australia. She was very involved with theatre there, performing in many Community Theatre musicals as well as plays, short films and concerts. Some of her biggest roles include Ursula in The Little Mermaid, Mabel in Fame, Alice in The Addams Family and Logainne Schwartzandgrubenierre in The Spelling Bee. In Australia, Nicola trained at the New York Film Academy and graduated with a degree in Acting for Film while also studying singing. She was a part of many concerts during this time, including being a regular performer at Underground Broadway and singing the national anthem at the 2018 Gold Coast Commonwealth Games.

In 2019 Nicola moved to New York City to attend the American Musical and Dramatic Academy in their Musical Theatre program. She now lives in New York and is loving every second. Since graduating in 2021 she has performed in an online production of Dog Sees God as Tricia as well as originating two roles in two new musicals in development, one as the dance captain. She is currently a singer at Don’t Tell Mama piano bar.
